W9 Soccer Striker Academy
W9 Striker Academy is a weekly striker training and skills development program for ages 10 through 18. This 7 week program focuses on the fundamental technical and tactical aspects of being a goal scorer. Technical areas of focus include proper ball striking, shooting for power and accuracy, creative dribbling around goal, and making space to shoot. Tactical areas of focus include making proper runs, playing with your back to goal, and linking up with teammates.
Member of W9 Striker Academy will instantly gain a competitive advantage over defenders and goal keeper by acquiring the tools necessary to be effective as individual and partnered strikers. There is nothing better and more exciting in a soccer game than scoring a goal and W9 Soccer is all about SCORING GOALS! Our striker academy will train the players to create scoring chances and capitalize on them to become better goal scorers. We will focus on training the technique of shooting with game-like scenarios to improve player ability to create high percentage scoring opportunities in and around the penalty area. We also put heavy focus on 1 v 1 ability and small group attacking principles 2 v 1 , 2 v 2, 3 v 2 and other small group attacking scenarios.
Players in this program can expect to improve their composure in front of goal as well as increase the speed and accuracy of their shot. Players will be challenged in an intense environment. Topics will also include power finishing, finesse finishing, 1 v 1 breakaway finishing and finishing off crosses.
The Academy is run by Warren Ukah, a 12 year professional soccer player from Atlanta Ga, and proven goal scorer. Players will be pushed to improve all aspects of goal scoring in a fun, competitive, and high paced environment.
